Alright. Not gonna lie, VERY intimidated by some of these thread's such as "I got a perfect score on my SAT, do you think I have a CHANCE to get into blah-blah Ivy school?" But I guess I'll tell you what I got:

SAT: took it Oct. 6th, 2012
ACT: 32
GPA: 4.35 (w)
Rank: 10/479
Most rigorous courses taken: Calc BC, AP Physics C etc. etc.
AP Tests: 4 on AP Bio, 5 on APUSH, 3 on WHAP and English Language

EC: Band, All-Region all 3 years. All-Area last year. (In one of toughest regions in texas. If not THE toughest) National Honor Society. Worked as lifeguard past 3 summers, past 2 as manager. Also taught swim lessons past two years. Full-time during summer. UIL Math, Calculator, and Physics this year. We'll see how that works out :) Also, community service towards 100 hours. Like everyone else... hahaha

Although as of now, UT at Austin seems like a safe bet considering I'm automatically accepted, and it has a great undergrad physics program. And where, if anywhere, should I send my Early Decision Application??? Thanks

OPEN TO ALL CRITICISM/AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT. Appreciate it, peers!

If you are willing to go outside SW and can afford it, suggest Cornell ED. Great physcis program and your numbers are in realm there. Would say slightly below 50/50% chance if you apply ED there). Great you are already in UT. You can be very judicious and selective with the remainder of your applications. Agree that Rice (reach) and Berkeley (low match – 50 - 66%) are also good suggestions. Standford = very high reach (less than 10%) and would not use ED (SCEA) on it.
