EXTRA-CURRICULARS
During high school I volunteered at an Early Childhood Educational Center, interned at a nonprofit that helps immigrants assimilate in to American culture with legal assistance etc. and participated in educational seminars at the New York City Bar Association of Law ultimately declining the following internship.
During high school I have participated in the school leadership team as the student representative (board has parents administration and teachers) Student Government as the SLT rep, the Semi-Annual Blood Drive, “Girls on Point” where I did peer mentoring, band, homecoming committee, and the Latin dance club. I also took Mock Trial and other law related courses at New York University.
Extra: I speak Arabic although it is not at all my family language or anything. I just like it. I also speak Spanish very well.
ESSAYS: Were really great. Personal and humorous. I emphasized the fact that a college education would allow me to pursue my goal of fighting for cultural sensitivity and gender equality.
TEACHER RECS: Good from what I read. My principal who I am close with wrote me one I did not see.
COUNSELOR REC: Not sure. He probably writes the same thing for everyone.
