im new to the forum but i have visited this forum before.</p>

<p>anyways here are my stats</p>

<p>GPA: 4/4 or 4.78 weighted
Rank: 8/449
ACT:32 (without writing)</p>

<p>EC:
Spanish Club, NFL, Debate, Charity Committee Member of Student Council, Student Council Secretary, Spanish National Honor Society Member and Now Secretary, Business Professionals of America, Heartland Book Club, Red Cross Blood Drive, Decorations Committee Member of NHS, Relay for Life Team Captain, Public Relations, Leadership 20/20, Red Cross Youth Advisory Board, Coalition-Project Manager, Women's Foundation Girl's Grant, National Art Honor Society-Vice President - Ive done these EC's for 1 year each.</p>

<p>Student Council Rep., Peer Mediator, Join Active West Student, Out of Hand Literary Magazine, NHS- 2 years each</p>

<p>Honor Roll, Mathletics, Math League- 4 years each</p>

<p>Other:
Presidents Volunteer Award: Bronze and maybe silver this year
Went to the UMKC's Summer Scholars Program (shadowing, overview of med school, couple mini classes)
4 yrs academic letter</p>

<p>Community Service:
More than 300+ TOTAL
at least 100 of them in hospital.</p>

<p>Worked 2-3 Jobs.- Receptionist, Sales Assistant, Real Estate Assistant.</p>

<p>Senior Yr: Taking ALL honors or AP classes.</p>

<p>so what do you think my chances are for UMKC, PSU, and any others that i can get by with only ACT's (no writing)?</p>

<p>Not sure if PSU requires act w/ writing, but I think you stand a <em>decent</em> change at most of those schools.</p>

<p>You have a chance, apply to wide range of programs. My D. got into 3 out of 6 programs that she applied, mostly at state shools. If you want to compare, her stats were: ACT=33 (with writing), top of class, over 300 hours working as lab. assistant at Med. lab + 60 hours of volunteering at hospital, a lot of other EC's, she did not care to mention CPR certification or some other staff like this. She has chosen the program with the most freedom and flexibility. Best of luck!</p>
