What are my chances to appeal with these stats?

<p>Alrighty everyone,</p>

<p>I got my rejection letter today which really wasn't a big surprise, but UW's my dream school so I'll definitely appeal.</p>

<p>I'm originally from Germany and I went to school there, which really messed my cum. GPA up.
I'm a permanent resident of the States, so no international student.
I had a 2.2 GPA after my 10th grade in Germany, moved to the States and got a 3.5 first semester, and a 3.8 2nd semester - which made my GPA go up to a 2.5.</p>

<p>I didn't take any AP classes last year though, so I'm doing RS this year and my cum. GPA at the end of Winter quarter is a 3.0. I'm a Poli Sci major, but Idk if that'll help my chances.</p>

<p>I'm gonna have about 35 credits that'd transfer to UW - but would I even have a chance if I'd appeal with a cum. 3.0 college GPA? Would it be better to wait and transfer Fall '12?</p>

<p>Yeah, I’d wait. With the vast amount applicants they have to choose from, a 3.0 isn’t going to hold much weight in appeal. Wait to boost your up some more and apply next year. :)</p>

<p>I have a gpa of 4. I am from India and the syllabus is tough here. And an SAT score of 1740. What would be my chances ? I still havent heard from UW.</p>
