Hi, I am interested to transfer to UCLA in fall 08. I've already applied to UCLA as a chemistry major. Now, my Cumulative GPA is 3.66 and my IGETC GPA is 3.75. After this fall, I might stay same the gpa or drop a little bit. I want to know do I have a chance to transfer to UCLA and which GPA are UCs look for ? (cumulative or igetc)

IGETC GPA wat is that? LOL

UC's look at your TRANSFER GPA, it is not your IGETC gpa or your cumulative gpa. It is a GPA of all the courses that UCLA will accept for transfer.

Actually some UC (and specific colleges in UC school as well) will look at your overall GPA instead of your UC transferable GPA but in UCLA College of Letters, arts, and sciences they look only at your UC transferable GPA. If you keep your GPA up that high and complete your major coursework you will have a good chance to UCLA.

My GPA came out to be 3.69, so do I have any chance to get into UCLA and my major is chemistry?? I finished all the major prep.

accoring to UCLA admit website for 07fall acceptance chemistry avg. admit was 3.53. you have a good chance! since your pre-reqs done and above avg GPA.!
