What are my chances to get into an Ivy League school?

Well hello there!

Im at the end of my challenging junior year, and was wondering what is the outlook in getting into an Ivy League school?

My credentials:
I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA, 4.7 weighted
Not yet taken SAT or ACT (it's coming up, think I will do well)
I am taking 4 AP classes this year, my GPA will increase, As (and some Bs) in all.
I started dual enrollment classes recently (will take about 5) GPA will rise, and I save money :)

Clubs/activities

Devoted to student government.
Freshman Treasurer, Sophomore President, Junior Treasurer, Senior VP

We do projects in SGA, the biggest was when I arrange this district wide community project. I got all neighboring schools 9 of then to donate stuff along with my school. SGA made 1000 care packages for soldiers in Afghanistan that year.

I am in the green club, drama, foreign language, National Honor Society etc.

I am in a Research program, going on my second year with a College. I am studying in cancer research, using fluorescent nano polymers for improved detection. I have my research with abstract that i submitted. The profesor I worked with was awesome!

I rank in top 10%, maybe top 5%, maybe highest?

I was awarded by a major Hospital, and presented to me by the CEO a certificate that says emerging health care professional due to leadership and compassion'. I was granted shadowing opportunities with the hospital. So during my summer, I will be continuing my research with cancer, continuing duel enrollment and shadowing a doctor.

I fear that my unweighted could be higher, and that my scores for act and sat may not be quite what I expect, but I'll take it over and over, and study my butt off to make a great score.
... I will suffice for a great undergrad college, but my mission is to go to Cornell, Yale or Harvard to study medicine. I think u can guess what I'm interest in.

Unweighted GPA is definitely low for Ivies but your ECs are very good and will help you a lot. Your strong dedication to studying medicine in high school really shows, and that passion is really important in college admissions. With those stellar ECs, I think you have a very good chance of getting in to one of your top schools, at least. It’s such a gamble though… best of luck!

I agree with etacarinae, your EC’s look solid and if you do well on the SAT/ ACT, I’m sure you’ll get into an Ivy. Of course, nothing’s ever certain with the Ivies, but I’d say you have a high chance. Good luck on those standardized tests!

The SAT has a huge influence on the admissions process, so chances are always murky before your results come out. Your GPA is a bit low, but not so low that they would kick you out.

I am curious, though, why you would want to go Ivy, especially Harvard/Yale, for medicine. Harvard and Yale are not very good medical universities. You will find many other colleges that offer better medical programs and will be easier to get into. Since medical school costs a lot of time and money, you should also think about going to colleges that are lucrative.

The HYP-name means little in the medical world, imo. I personally know someone who rejected two ivies to go to the Penn State/Jefferson medical program.

Why don’t you wait for the score first?
