<p>you have to improve your SAT. Only thing that may help you is your a minority but still, your chances are slim unless you score above a 1500 on the SAT I and apply ED.</p>

<p>(BTW, when the Columbia rep for my state came to my school she said that if you get a SAT score around 1400-1460, they never look at the score again, if it is 1470 and up, then the score helps you, and if it is less than 1400 then you need to compensate for your lower scores through something else, and I hope that happens to me)</p>

<p>Carrera_GT: it's nice you get correct info from reliable sources. I wonder if ivyleaguer went to Columbia because that "1500 minimum" is completely bogus. Even Harvard's median SAT was 1485 for the class of 2007.</p>
