So I made math.. And things don't seem so well with my gpa, about a 3.3-3.4 uw gpa by the time I apply.. And well what if I do a lot of EC's and I do really good on both my ACT/SAT and I mean that my score isn't average. It's pretty high..

Anyways to be honest, I fooled around during my freshmen year, I didn't care about school, but I did want to go to Florida but I didn't realize how important things were then.. Anyways I have really good grades but because of my freshman year, I am afraid that I won't get in :( Please help..Anybody

I’d say your GPA is a dealbreaker. My former HS college counselor told me that UF likes students to have pretty close to a 4.0 unweighted (at least A- average, I’d say). Give nothing but your absolute best in your classes from now on! You want to get it as high as possible. The fact that your SAT/ACT scores are high helps your chances a little (obviously the higher, the better). A lot of ECs is good too, but make sure you use them in a way to distinguish yourself from other applicants. Quality over quantity! Also, you haven’t said anything about your curriculum or class rank. UF is allegedly biased towards IB diploma students, and FL residents. Also, a great majority of UF students were in the top 10% or top 25% of their class. Being the bottom 50% would mess you up big time.

When applying for college, don’t aim to be like the average applicant, be competitive, excel in as many meaningful things as possible, and distinguish yourself.
