please do tell me what do you guys think if i have any chance or not
Why scared? Pay the deposit to secure your spot at Purdue or Madison
Asking for financial aid? Nationality?
Agree with above - standard time to commit is by May 1st. If there is any kind of deposit due (housing etc that is advantageous to do early) go ahead and pay it, then withdraw if you decide to commit elsewhere. The key is not committing to multiple schools at the same time, that is a no-no. But you can commit to one, change mind then withdraw, but you will lose a deposit in that situation however. More than likely, you have till May 1st for them all. Please explain why you think you would lose a spot so we can see if there is something we are missing or perhaps you misunderstand, and we can straighten it out.
Also, you should have USC package and/or portal update by around March 25th. (Estimate - but it is always about a week before April 1st).
Those are excellent choices so congrats so far! Gonna be honest, the SAT is gonna hurt ya for USC engineering, but we don’t see your whole application, only USC does, so there may be other factors that over-ride something else. Just gotta Tom Petty it as mentioned by @CaptainRonnie in another thread and hang in there - the waiting is the hardest part!
ahaha thank you! I mean I know that USC is a very competitive school in general and so engineering would be even harder. It is actually not “missing out the spot” it is actually because my parents (being very logical) are planning on accelerating the process by paying deposit, visa etc as soon as possible but I want to wait for the USC decisions. The deferral from USC made my parents feel that I will not even get in at all so not point in waiting.
Well my son is waiting for the same school… with a low acceptance I advices him not to have high hopes… for us it will not be such a competitive pool as the Indian pool
And if I remember correctly you have to provide a financial statement to be considered for admissions at USC as international
Yes we did! Is your an international applicant as well?
@unihelp333 yes international but he will head to Penn State earth and mineral college
