Right now I am a sophomore with only a 3.6 GPA. I currently have all A's in my classes right now and I think I will be able to pull off a 4.0 this whole year. 9th grade I really slacked off even though I was in all gifted and AP, but I am going to change that mindset. I am taking 3 out of 4 of the gifted classes right now: 1 AP, 2 Gifted. I'm taking honors world history instead of AP, however. Next year I should be taking all gifted and AP except Spanish II because honors is the highest available for that class. Senior year I will have the same course difficulty with Spanish III being gifted. I don't know if this matters but I go to Brookwood Highschool in Georgia and they are ranked 149 by Newsweek and are generally considered one of the best public schools in Georgia. As for extra curricular clubs I am in Beta Club(volunteering), Student Government Association, Cross Country (fall) and Track and Field(spring). I don't hold any officer positions and I'm on JV so I'm not very good with those. Next year I will try to get accepted into the National Honors Society and if I do I will drop out of Beta Club. I'm going to try to run for president in that club either junior or senior year and if I do then I think my chances for Tech will be very high. I'll be taking the SAT, an SAT subject test for math, and an SAT subject test for science. I want to be a software engineer and I want to transfer to MIT after I get into Tech since I already have a low GPA.
