Have you looked at top LACs where your demographics and background may be more of an advantage? Williams and Amherst are Wall Street feeders, as are Bowdoin, Claremont, Midd, etc. Admittedly, a LAC environment isn’t for everyone, and most LACs don’t offer engineering. However, if you want to study CS/math/stats with the intent of going into finance, I’d suggest you give LACs a peek. Williams has a highly renowned math department and Claremont McKenna is tops for business and government.
