What are my chances to NYU

I am currently a Junior in High School. I am an average or so student. My GPA would be 3.0 out of 4.0 and I currently took AP US history.

The classes that I took this year are:

French
Physics
Pre Calculus
AP US history
English
Algebra 2 & Trig

If I score lets say 1900-2100 on my SATs, do I have a chance?

I am currently in the math team, no clubs or anything yet except for maybe an after school sports program I go to.

If not NYU, what good college in New York State?

Also, do colleges look at the average you get in the first semester of senior year? I am planning to take 4 APs next year.

Thank you.

I hate to say it, but I think you’re dead in the water with a 3.0. The average GPA there is about a 3.7.

Sorry but your GPA will seriously not get you in NYU probably not even the waiting list.

I would try Fordham.

Bump.

Anyway to improve or get into NYU such as by transferring in?

Thanks.

Transferring is even harder than getting in as a freshman. You could do it, but you’d have to pull a 3.7 or better in college.

And bulk up on the ECs.

Yeah, gpa is pretty low for an NYU acceptance. Depending on your intended major, i’m sure there are other good schools in NY.
