3.5 gpa sophomore and junior year combined, eagle scout, over 500 hours of volunteer work, worked for kaiser, 1300 sat. Did not to ap sophomore and junior year, currently a senior taking pre cal honors, ap bio, and ap eco.
If your capped weighted UC GPA is 3.5, your chances are slim since you are well below the 25th percentile of 3.95. UCD like all UC’s emphasize GPA. If you have a compelling reason for your lower than average grades, hopefully this was addressed in your personal insight essays and may give you a bump.
Also HS course rigor is important and if you did not take advantage for some the AP’s available to you, that will also impact your chances. Your SAT is within range.
What is your intended major? This will also make a significant difference on your chances.

On your other post, you asked about UC’s and several posters stated UC Merced and Riverside seemed the most likely along with Santa Cruz.
Best of luck and apply widely.
@Gumbymom Can you chance me as well? You seem to know a lot about the college application process.
4.15 UC GPA, 26 ACT (11 on the writing, I know my ACT composite is very low, I’m a bad standardized tester, my science score brought me down the most), applied English major (I doubled up in English soph-senior year), from an in-state very compeititive high school (top 20 in the country), only one B ever in highschool (it was chemistry second semester), only took one AP and one honors junior year and then I got an A at a community college class my summer going into senior year which also calculates into my UC GPA, none soph year, 3 AP’s senior year (got a 4.5 last semester but ofc UC’s don’t see that), lots of volunteer work, on the newspaper soph-senior year, club soccer team, unusual family situation that I wrote about, job, personal insights were pretty good - some better than others. I really liked UCD/ want to go there and on my school’s naviance I’m at the GPA average but below the ACT, yet some people have been accepted with my score. Do I have a chance?
