What are my chances? UCF is my top choice

SO…i got back my Dec. SAT scores today, and here’s the result:

Reading= 520 (my best)
Math= 590 (tied my best)
Writing= 550 (my best, with a 9 on the essay)
CR/Math= 1110
Composite= 1660

Can this now get me into UCF for Fall 2010? I was deferred more than a month ago

You went up 30 points. How much did you study?

Are you willing to go for summer? Anybody know what do the curriculum for summer is?

The sad part is that I actually studied quite a lot…for October i got a tutor and went down! Then just practiced on my own for December and went up, at least a bit… 30 in reading 20 in writing and stayed the same in math. Im just a bad test taker…my SAT scores no where near represent my academic record and GPA throughout high school. That was proven since I got into better schools than UCF (such as Rutgers, Hofstra, and NC State) but deferred there…just shows how much they take SAT scores into consideration.

And, for summer? Im not really sure. I really want to go to UCF, but i dont know if its really worth it to start 5 days after HS graduation…especially since I got into USF for Fall.

Go to USF. I would.

GPA and SATs are very different. That’s why colleges take that into consideration, since these 4.0s barely get a 1000 on the SAT.

High School work is very easy, unless you’re AP or IB. Honors is easy, regular clases are a JOKE.

Sometimes, my honors teacher made us draw our names and color it. SERIOUSLY.

Hahaha thats awesome actually…but yea I have a mix of all, 2 APs, 2 honors, 2 regular this year, and had 6 A’s and 1 B (including gym, that is and the B was Calc Honors) 1st marking period. My weighted GPA currently is 4.04, and unweighted I have no clue cause my school weights GPAs in an extremely odd way.

Over the summer, I visited both UCF and USF. I’m from Jersey, and I want to go to college in Florida. I liked UCF better, but they were both good. Academically they are both very comparable (I’ve done much research into the 2). It’s still my goal. But if it falls through, it looks like I’ll most likely go to USF.

Go to usf, if you don’t like it, apply to UCF again and go there the next year.
