<p>Freshman, in-state student looking to transfer from a small, Catholic, liberal arts school to UMass Amherst.</p>

<p>Stats:
HS GPA: 2.4
ACT: 22
College GPA: 3.8
Dean's List
Excellent essay explaining HS record/test scores and how my view on education has changed.
Work experience
Some volunteering
SADD (as well as an award)
First gen college student</p>

<p>I don't have many ECs due to the amount of hours I was working during the week.
What do you think my chances are as a transfer?</p>

<p>I know my HS record isn't great, I'm well aware, but I honestly had no desire to go to college until halfway through my senior year. I explained it all in my essay.</p>
