What are my chances under a Business Administration Major?

Hey guys, was wondering what my chances were as a HS senior applying for Cal Poly’s business school for this coming fall. I’d apply under Business Administration.

SAT: (630 Math, 610 reading) (taking again in October)
Literature SATII: 660, US History SATII: 740
ACT:29 (Took it again on 9/11)

GPA: UW 3.17 W: 3.95(10-12)
Class rank: 88/650 (top 14%)

AP Euro:4, AP US History: 4, AP English: 3

Honors classes all throughout high school, including Ap Euro (soph), Ap US History (junior), Ap English (junior), Ap Biology (junior), Ap Stats (senior), Ap Economics (senior)

I played JV Tennis my Frosh year, JV Track and field Sophomore year, and i’ve played JV football Frosh and Soph, then Varsity Football Junior year. I also did Academic league my freshmen year.

I believe I will have strong recommendations from my AP Euro, AP US, and Honors Chem teachers. Im going to figure up a good essay as well.

My school sends students to good schools, Several Ivy acceptances and UC’s last year.

With what I have now, do my chances look good? Let me know if I should include more in my post.

Your SAT score is a little below the midpoint, but your ACT is right at the average and your GPA is a little higher than average. Recalculate your GPA using your 9th grade classes too.

Cal Poly doesn’t take SAT II or AP scores for admissions, nor does it allow you to submit letters of recommendations or essays. ECs aren’t very important, especially those not related to your major.

I’d say you have good chances, especially if your ACT score improved when you retook the test.

Good luck - if you really want to go to Cal Poly, get your application in on October 1.
