My intended major is something sociology-related.

"Taking the following courses will prepare you to major in sociology at any UC campus.
Expected coursework
Introduction to sociology 1
Introduction to sociology 2 (typically “social problems”)
Statistics for sociology majors
Sociological research methods
Use ASSIST to find the specific classes offered at your community college that will satisfy the expected coursework. In addition to the specific coursework above, you will need to fulfill minimum requirements expected of all transfer applicants to UC."
Will taking these classes at a local community college boost my chances?
