Just of note: I am currently at the end of my Junior year, and those ECs that are marked with (12) are activities I am SURE I will be a part of next year. There are many awards I am not sure off though. For example, I haven’t received my awards/commendations from school for this year (11) - will find out in a few weeks. So I may be adding some more.

Sorry for the second chance thread on the first page, I just realized that there is a lot of stuff that I could, potentially, put on my application, but which I haven’t included in the previous thread (also my previous thread was written in order to give a more presentation of myself - this one is a little more blunt, as it would be in the application).

It would be great if you guys could tell me whether some of the items marked with ‘worth adding?’ are worth adding? :D

I incorporated your scores, GPA, leadership, and extracurriculars into a systematically devised function of calculatory means that I developed to precisely calculate percent chance of admission to various universities in the US and abroad. The results are as follows (these are the percent chances that you will be accepted at the below named institutions of higher educatory education):

University of Pennsylvania: 19.009%
Columbia University: 11.840%
Dartmouth College: 24.014%
Cornell University: 17.332%
Brown University: 11.011%
Massachusetts Institute of Technology: 18.899%
Carnegie Mellon University: 44.211%
New York University: 46.281%
John Hopkins University: 21.777%
University of Chicago: 31.348%
University of Michigan: 77.936%

Please note that these are only derived from my own personal formula which seems to accurately predict admissions chances pretty well. Hope that helps and best of luck!

May I ask how you get your formula?

One question though: ECs are great but why did you start joining/founding during 11th grade? It may stick out but all through out nice stats! Good job.

P.S. You could also “market” yourself as a student who is passionate at business(I presume) in Extra ECs or founding a business or something(which you did- so just talk about achievements in that EC and maybe write about it as a topic). Package yourself as a student who is good and passionate at something. That’ll get you in :)

I think All Ivies are low-middle reach for you
UChicago- Low reach
UMich - Match/safety

I agree about the formula. Is it legit? I kind of want to find out my chances of getting into college

bump 10char

I am also partaking in a virtual stock trading competition. Hopefully I will get a school prize and possibly a regional prize in the competition. Will this effectively increase my chances at the business schools I am applying to, specifically Wharton?
