hi I applied early to university of rochester

I have a 89.5 unweighted GPA
by the end of senior year I will have taken 9 advanced placement classes
AP Bio
AP Euro
AP Chem
AP Physics C
AP Macro and Micro Economics
Ap English Language And composition
Ap BC calculus
Ap Statistics
Ap Us history

and every other class has been a honors class. My senior schedule is the most rigorous one given at my school.

I got a 30 on my ACT and a 1950 on my SAT (630 V, 710 M, 610 W)
I have volunteered for over 100 hours
I have also done an internship with a doctor
I am also involved in numerous clubs and I have been working for the past 2 years
my recommendations and essays were pretty good

I live locally to U of R like only 20 miles away.
I was wondering what chance do you give me at getting in early into the University of Rochester. I really really want to go there. It is my first choice.
should i worry?

In addition I was wondering what chances I have at these schools

Boston university
U of Michigan
New York Univ
U of Pittsburgh
purdue University

thank you so much and I will definately chance back

I’d say that you have a decent shot at all your schools. Though I do agree that URoch and NYU are reaches, your course load is insanely rigorous, which will definitely give you a boost. Your ACT is solid, and your GPA is pretty decent. Colleges also like to see volunteer work, which you have.

umich and rochester are reaches. I would stil lgive about forty percent. Everything else I would assume you get in but nothing is guaranteed. Good luck!

so do you guys think I will get in early to U of R because I am dying to go there and I cant even sleep right now because I am so anxious waiting for the letter

I’d say that NYU is a bit of a reach, but try applying anyway, because you might get in. Boston University is match-low reach, but I’d say you’d probably be in, because BU is not that difficult to get into as people may think. As for the other universities, I’d saw matches-low reaches. Good luck!

Your academic stats are amazing, and though your extracurriculars are a little lacking, I think your gpa makes up for it.

GPA is low which will be a problem for a few schools which i will tell you about. your record reminds me of my highschool record except I had a higher GPA and 18 APs so I think my feedback will be sort of accurate

New York Univ-high reach…maybe in the General studies program if you are really lucky
