<p>Hi there-- I'm pretty new to this, but I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on my chances of getting into the College of William and Mary and/or University of Virginia.</p>

<p>I'm a white male currently residing in the state of Virginia.</p>

<p>SAT Scores-
Critical Reading- 630
Math- 780
Writing- 690</p>

<p>GPA-
Weighted with a 4.5 GPA. I got to a Specialty Center for the Math/Science field, and since it is so competitive, we do not get ranked. Located in Midlothian, Virginia.</p>

<p>AP Classes-
US History, Statistics, Environmental Science, Physics, US Government, Music Theory, English Literature, Calculus AB</p>

<p>Extracurriculars-
Varsity Cross Country- 3 Years
Varsity Indoor Track- 3 Years
Varsity Outdoor Track- 3 Years
Treasurer of Mu Alpha Theta, Mathematics Honors Society
National Honors Society
Beta Club
Head Council of the Freshman Transition Program
Part-Time Waiter at Local Retirement Community during the school year/summer (my job)
Co-Chair of Youth Committee at Church- plans Youth Group's events and such
Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra- Principal Cellist
Senior Regional Orchestra- 4th Best cellist in the region
Private Cello Lessons- With Jiulliard Alumni, on faculty at William and Mary</p>

<p>I do most community service through my Church. Bake Sales, Neighborhood Cleanups, Feeding the Homeless, etc. I have been on four separate week-long Mission Trips during the summer. Two to West Virginia, and two to Pittsburgh.</p>

<p>Awards-</p>

<p>Junior Service Award
Orchestra Student of the Year- 9, 11 Grades
Scholard Athlete Award- Award 9 separate times.</p>

<p>Yep I’m in-state. You think? My reading SAT is a little weak… I may retake solely for that section! </p>

<p>I am also going to take the US History SAT II and the Math II one, I think.</p>

<p>Yea - be sure to take some SAT 2s. Don’t worry about your low reading score - I know a TON of people from my school (as in, 20+) who got into UVa this year with less than a 2000 on their SATs.</p>

<p>I think you are in at both with the in state. Good SAT, GPA, and EC’s. </p>
