I have a low ACT, but great GPA, extracurriculars, and volunteer. I'm out of state. I have been admitted to Michigan State..so maybe UGA might accept me. What kind of ACT does UGA students usually have?

Umm… I think you could ask ten people what they think a low ACT is and you would get at least 5 different answers. What is your ACT score?

Average ACT for the class of 2016 was a 27-29.

This is the closest you can get to any opinion anyway.

GPAs depend on which high school you attend. A 4.0 at an inner city high school would be a 3.4 at a north Fulton high school. SAT/ACT is a more affirmative predictor of a student’s ability. It never hurts to apply.

A Michigan State acceptance will pave the way for a Georgia State acceptance? You could always transfer if need be.

Good luck!
