What are my chances with notsogreat EC's? Looking to do computer engineering

Where should I apply? What would my chances be at say..UCLA, UCB, UCSD, Carnegie Mellon? Stanford, Caltech, MIT, Brown? (probably reaches..should I even bother applying to them?)

I'm interested in computer engineering, physics, quantum mechanics.

Asian American in a very competitive high school in California.
Rank: 10-25?/~500

Old SATI 1550: 750 Verbal/800 Math (Does this even count anywhere anymore?)

New SATI 2200: 740 Verbal / 760 Math / 700 Writing (retaking, can raise this for sure)

SATIIs
MathIIC: 800
Physics: 800
Biology: 770
Mandarin: 780

229 PSAT

Also taking ACT

GPA Unweighted: 3.98

AP Physics B: 5
AP Statistics: 4

Taking toughest schedule possible for me at high school.

This year's schedule

AP Chem
AP Bio
AP Calc BC
AP English
Discrete/Finite Mathematics
Government/Econ.

Volunteering at tech museum: 4 hrs/week
Job tutoring: 8 hrs/week
Piano: 8 hours/week, 10 years. Certificate of Merit level 10
Key club
Badminton
Church activities: Leading Sunday school children, choir, youth group
300+ Community service hours
I did a three week residential summer program at Stanford on quantum mechanics, don't know if this is worth anything.

Oh yeah, also the school I go to is extremely competitive. Bay Area school with around 65% Asians. 56 NMSQR semi-finalists last yr, three perfect SAT I scores this year, 26 valecdictorians last year. 12% of our class is going to Cal.

UCB: Match (Engineering)
UCLA: Match (Engineering)
UCSD: Safe Match (Engineering)

Actually, I was quite sure that UCB, UCLA would probably be matches and was just making sure.

However, I am more interested in finding out how much of a reach schools like Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, Caltech, MIT, Brown would be?

Thanks to flopsy for your response.

I'd say at Carnegie Mellon, Caltech, and MIT you have a decent chance. No clue w/ Stanford and Brown.

Thanks KallynMN. I want some more opinions though.

You have a great shot at CMU, because your scores are so high. Caltech, too, and the UCs, because you're in-state. Stanford, MIT, maybe, depending on how they weigh scores, and Brown, probably not as much, since they tend to have the LAC attitude of looking more at ECs and essays.

Thanks tkb6.
Any more opinions? Please also post if you agree/disagree with tkb6, I'd like to have some more reassurance haha.

I think you have a great shot at CalTech. They are more scores-based, and ECs are not weighted as heavily as other schools. You should definately apply to those schools ( CalTech, MIT, Brown, ect) but I highly recommend CalTech!
