Your SAT score is superb, as is your course rigor. I think being OOS for the UCs is definitely going to help you. In my personal opinion, the C+ won’t affect your chances too much. Obviously a C is not ideal, but it’s better to have a C as a freshman or sophomore rather than a junior or senior. Your SAT subject test scores are also competitive enough. From the sounds of it, you’re good to go with your ECs as well. The only issue is your GPA. A 4.2 W GPA isn’t bad, but it makes it seem as if your UW GPA is on the lower side (however, I don’t know the accuracy of this). Is it possible for you to ask your guidance counselor what your UW GPA approximately is? I would try as much as possible to make sure that you get all A’s in the first semester(s) of your senior year. Overall, your GPA and grades (the B’s most of all) are your weakest areas. I would try to improve your overall GPA and grades as much as possible this year so that you are competitive amongst all of the applicants. Good luck!
