what can I do to improve my chances? I need to do something over the summer, I know...My first choice is Yale at this point (unlikely, I know)

bump?? :) help would be appreciated

you have as good a chance as any!
you might want to slightly inc. your SAT marks...try and focus your essays on a single voluntary work or achievement and focus on that instead of creating a laundry list of achievements. that will show that you're passionate abt said achievement!

best of luck, although I HATE YALE!! and spoken urdu is pretty much the same as spoken hindi so i might as well mention that i know spoken urdu!!! good to see you've called yourself arctic_monkey!!

unlikely?! i think you have quite a high chance :) that you've shown so much involvement and, indeed, potential in national and international politics - what with barack obama, model UN, future public leaders thingy... you'd be a great hit at highly politically-charged yale. and barack obama was a columbia alumnus :P what a candidate to support huh.

go for it. you might want to try retaking your SATs to bring it up to 2300, cos you definitely have language proficiency, and SAT I Math is something I think you're able to get 800 for with some work and mental discipline during the test.

my GPA isn't too low then? I'm thinking it'll realistically be around 3.82 end of junior year...and uhh 4.45 weighted but I don't care about weighted

wait, why do you hate Yale exactly?

aaand another question, if I take the SATs in October, will I be fine for early decision/action?

Double check the website of the early decision/action school you're applying to but most colleges accept the October (even November) SATs.

shameless bumpage

Bumpppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

Yale = Lower Reach, but you still have a good chance. you have a lot of great ECs that show your passion for business......so maybe do something business-related over the summer.

I think I'm getting a (wellll-paid fulltime) internship with UBS. good?

awesome, UBS is Swiss!

Sadaffffffffffffffffffffffff

i haaaaaaaaaaate you
just so you know

I thought most of these internships were for undergrads..?

Anyways, I think your SAT and GPA is low for Yale, but good enough for anything else. Good luck
