Ok so right now im a student at FAU, waning to transfer into nursing. fau only allows incoming freshmen, so i got a dilemma. Im going to UCF with my AA in fall 2017. I will still have to take micro and and some development and nutrition classes that wernt even offered here. Right now my gpa is 2.93, but im hoping by the time i apply its a 3.3-3.4. My science gpa should be a 3.5-3.6 realistically. The reason i chose UCF is because i heard their program for nursing is amazing, and even if i dont get in at lest i will learn a lot. Because i Dont have the best gpa I will be applying to FGCU, USF ,UCF , UF, and maybe even UNF. I hope that applying to multiple places plus I know my teas exam will be good because im good at those kinds of tests, that I will have a decent chance. Ive looked at older forums and seen that some people got in the colleges with 3.1, and some dont get in with a 3.9… im guessig some of it has to do with the limited seating of course… but is there anything people can tell me from experience? when i graduated high school i didnt even think id get into FAU but i walked in with my transcript and they accepted me on the spot… i think its because when im face to face people like me… but me as just a number isnt so great. I called UCF and they told me talking to admin doesnt help and that im just a number. I also have looked at requirements for these schools and am confused by a couple things… UF only requires at least a 2.8… but USF requires at least a 3.2… but ive heard UF is way harder to get into… so im confused haha id just love to hear from people who have gotten in who didnt think they would and what they did to accomplish this.I feel pretty defeated when people say they didnt get in. I also have 55 hours of experience in a hospital if that means anything to these schools…
