I am a junior in a competitive public high school in Seattle, WA.
I have a 2370 SAT I score, will have taken 15 AP classes by graduation, and currently have a 3.95 unweighted GPA. I plan to take the SAT II Math I and II, Physics, History, and Spanish.
In addition, I have done Taekwondo since the age of 6 an currently possess a second degree black belt. In addition, I work there at the after school program and as an occasional insructor.
I also volunteer at a hospital as an escort and at the Red Cross. I also have plans to travel to India this summer to help out impoverished women and children.
In addition, I have attended summer programs in mathematics and chemistry at the University of Washington and have applied to others this year.
Do I have a reasonably good chance at getting into Harvard or any other Ivy League institutions?

Have you made USAMO, what do you think your recs will be like, and how will your essay be? Volunteering? Leadership? Clubs?

How are your recs? Your grades are definetely good, but you also need to prove you’re a leader, or do something substantial to stand out from the many other qualified applicants.

I think you have a good chance at going to an ivy league. and from the comments above…the traveling to india trip sounds like something leadership wise.

good luck!
