What are my chances?

Hi! I am currently a high school junior from the Chicagoland area looking for some advice. Are my college choices realistic? Will I get into these schools? Feedback and tips are much appreciated :)

-Debate Team
-Peer Tutors
-Student Council
-I also dance at a studio outside of school
-I have a summer job and a one day a week position during the school year
-Volunteer regularly
-Part of GFRVOS (an organization for teens against drugs and alcohol)

Schools:
-Loyola University Chicago
-Indiana University Bloomington
-DePaul University (My brother is a current student)
-University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (My brother is a recent Alumni)
-Butler University
-University of Wisconsin-Madison

I am very nervous about college and my chances of being accpeted to the schools I like. Please give me any feedback you think can help me! Thank you!!

Your particulars describe a well rounded and solid college candidate. If you get the 28 on your ACT that your practice tests predict, then I would say you have a good chance at all of your choices with the exception of Wisconsin, which would be a reach.

Why not U of Illinois Urbana-Champaign? Although this would be a reach for you as well, you should have a few reaches, and it is one of the best public schools in the country.

I realized I forgot a few things on here:
-My school does not offer class ranks.
-I am planning on majoring in Chemistry.
-I have also taken many honors classes throughout high school and I am starting with a few AP courses for senior year.
-I will graduate with 4 Years of French, 4 Years of Honors/AP English, 4 Years of Math, 4 Years of Science, 3.5 Years of History/Social Studies, 4 Years of Theology.
-I have also recieved Honor Roll Awards for first and second honors.

Thank you Hinsdale1! I agree about Wisconsin it will definitely be my reach.

My parents are definitely pushing for U of I. I do like the school and I have visited and most likely will apply because it is a great school but I’m not sure if it’s right for me.

Yeah if you get that 28 act you fall in the average for most of those schools. Essays and recs will make a huge difference for you

What type of recs are the best? Teachers, Coaches…? Are there any people I should avoid?

^ Best rec is foremost from someone who likes/admires and holds you in high regard. Secondly someone who knows you well enough to be specific and makes the rec personal to you. And thirdly it helps to have someone that can actually write well (this is least important).

Thank you so much!

Bump??? :)

Bump Please? Any other suggestions or opinions?

Bump anyone?
