tufts- slight reach
nyu- slight reach
brandeis- match
UVA- REACH
tcnj- don't know
carnegie mellon- reach
johns hopkins- reach
rochester- match
rutgers- not sure, match/safety?
pennstate (UP)- not sure, match/safety?

Your verbal score is what drags you down- the rest of your app is fine. You might want to throw in a couple more safeties unless you're in-state at TCNJ and Rutgers.

i am in state for rutgers and tcnj...wow is UVA THAT hard to get into

Don't listen to madmanmatty. I think you're a lock for PSU, and Brandeis...and I can't see you getting rejected from Rutgers either. CM, tufts, NYU are reaches, and UVa/possible JH are big reaches.

lol... im guessing the above post is a joke.. but seriously your in rutgers and rochester.. im not sure what the UP stands for in penn state but i know your fine for psu gen admission.. you also have a decent shot at tcnj and carnegie mellon although your difficulty of schedule might hold you back... also im assuming your looking at a science or engineering so add purdue as a safety and maybe rose-hulman

whats wrong with my scedule...i took 4 AP classes this year and lots oh honors...exept freshman year

im instate for tcnj so i qualify for their scholorship not only admission so im not worried about those too much

o and i forgot junior year precalculus was honors

umm for most of the schools you mentioned a lot of the kids start with at least one ap class sophomore year and a few more junior year and from what ive seen honors classes at most schools are a joke and everyone takes them, even with that said i think your in at tcnj but still unsure about mellon... uva is amazingly hard for out of state... and yea u have a good shot at nyu also

tcnj isnt hard to get into...its easier than all the schools i mentioned exept rutgers...maybe its because im in state but both people that went from my school last year had 1200 sat scores and no ap classes at all

my school doesnt let you take AP classes before junior year

yea at my school the only ap class u can possibly take b4 jr. year is ap euro.. and like i said i think your in at tcnj

my school isnt like most schools though...your NOT allowed to take an AP class unless you have over 600 on that section for psat...teacher recc and straights As in that subject

wow.. that pretty much screws a lot of ppl for college then

Yes. For OOS students, UVa, W&M, and UNC are at Ivy level admissions.

Warbler is right. Really good state schools are sometimes even harder for out-of-states than the Ivies.

UC Berkeley has a 9% admit rate out-of-state!
