What are my chances?

<p>Hello CC,</p>

<p>I’ve wanted to go to the Air Force Academy for a long time: now that I’m a to-be senior, the window for me to get in is getting closer. So, based upon my following information, what are my chances?</p>

<p>GPA: 3.85</p>

<p>Class rank: 30th out of 441 (top 7% in my class)</p>

<p>SAT: 1850 (just took it for the first time June 4th with no prep courses/practice tests, and being out all night the night before the test, will be retaking this fall)</p>

<p>Activities:
-Football 4 years: Varsity football 2 years
-Marching band 4 years (DURING FOOTBALL SEASON!)
-Section leader of the trumpet section
-Strength training (looking to break the squat record this year)
-Lead trumpet player of the trumpet section
-Member of every band available at my school
-NHS</p>

<p>AP or Honors that I have taken or will take in high school:
-AP European History, Score: 4
-AP Language and Composition
-AP United States History
-AP Calculus AB
-AP Music Theory
-AP Literature and Composition
-AP Government
-Accelerated Chemistry
-Honors Precalculus

<p>It looks like you are on the right track. What are your individual section scores for the SAT? Just remember, your SAT may be good enough to qualify you academically but you are competing with other people in your district for a nomination. I know it was your first time so you don’t have to worry about that yet.</p>
