<p>Drexel is my top choice for college. I want to major in accounting and I really love Lebow and the co-op opportunity that Drexel offers. I would like the opinions of alumni, current or recently accepted student on what you think my chances are.
High School and extracurricular:
I am going into my senior year of high school. Half way through my junior year I was ranked 30th out of 300 students in my grade, so I'm in the 10 ten percent, although I am expecting my rank to have increased because of my better academic performance in the second semester. At the end of the year my average GPA was 3.65, my school doesn't weight grades of AP classes. Last year I took AP Chemistry and AP American History. I took the APUSH exam and scored a 4 out of 5. My senior year I am going to be taking AP Calc. and possibly AP Stat. depending on scheduling issues. I am in my school district's gifted program and I am going to be competing in Mock Trial, and robotics and problem solving competitions as a part of one of the gifted classes that is offered. I am also the leader and the organizer for the gifted program's booth at International Culture Day. I'm on the quiz bowl team and am one of the captains. I also have a small team that I organized that competes in a History Bowl. I am readily involved in my schools music program. I am on our audition only choir and our normal mixed chorus, orchestra, jazz band, marching and concert bands. I play baritone/euphonium/tube and flute, and I am a Soprano II for vocal music. I volunteer every weekend for a local religious non-profit group that runs a consignment shop where we sell clothing and home goods and we donate the money we make to our local food bank, and the community action program or CAP which provides food and clothing to the homeless in a nearby city.
