<p>If you're a girl and you show real passion for engineering on your app, you might have a shot at Caltech. A girl at my school last year got in with worse SAT I/IIs, but better ECs (although her ECs weren't math/science related).</p>
<p>Honestly, I do not like Pomona's application (partially because I would have to rewrite my essays.) I think one question asked for a photograph or something, but whatever. I don't think I have a chance at Pomona. If I get into HMC I would most likely go there.</p>
<p>My parents don't want me going OOS, so basically I'm limited to the UCs and several privates.</p>
