<p>Hi, would anyone please chance me?
Indian male
Aspiring Astrophysicist
Academics:
Didnt know anything about the SATs or equivalents until July 2011 as there is very less awareness about these exams in our region, hadn't dreamt of US Education till then.Could attempt SATs only once.
Scores:
SAT 1 :2010 CR 600 W 620 M 790 could have scored above 2200 easily if had attempted the second time
SAT 2: Maths 800 Chemistry 800 Physics 800</p>

<p>Didn't have any AP classes at school.There are no Institutions offering A-level or O-level exams in my hometown, the nearest Institution is 600 kms away
Scored 97% in my 10th grade.In my country, these results are only accounted for.
GPA:10 on a scale of 10
Class Rank:1 in a class of 200
I am preparing for IITJEE,undertaking the toughest course available.
Extra curriculars:
Arts:
Practicing Sketching and Painting for 12 years
Won the Best School artist for 5 years in a row.
Won the 'Kalabharti award', one of the biggest awards at state level.
Published many articles and written many poems.
Sports:
Practicing soccer for the last 10 years.
School soccer team captain for 3 years.
Have represented School in Swimming,Athletics,Cricket,Badminton and Tennis
Did Parasailing at the age of 6
Did White Water River Rafting at the age of 7
An active hiker, I have climbed Mt.FA Konda 1400ft
Personal Achievements:
Drawn a Mural, took me 7 days to complete.
Built a telescope, I used it for Star gazing
I have been the School head boy
I have got the Best student and the Best Allrounder award.
Stood 5th among 800 students from 550 schools all over India in The Oxford Personality Contest.
Did social service at the local Temple.</p>

<p>These schools are unfortunately not realistic choices. They get thousands of applicants from Inda for a few seats, and your sores and activities will probably not be competitive in that pool.</p>

<p>You will need to do some research here on less known schools if you really want US colleges. If you need financial aid, it’s very possible you wont find enough to attend a US college as aid is very limited and it typically goes to those with higher sores than you have.</p>

<p>If you are very talented at art, you can consider submitting some of your work in an arts supplement, that can help. I think you should post on the India international board here to understand the landscape.</p>
