Hey swimmingfly1,

Your SAT writing is very low for a Lehigh applicant, which means your entire SAT score is on the low end of the spectrum. I think - but I’m not positive - that Lehigh doesn’t look at the writing section, but don’t quote me on that. But in general, the SAT grade is below average for Lehigh students.

Your GPA is about right for a match. Although you weren’t very specific ECs seem fine as well. I can’t give you a general chance since I don’t know about APs, leadership roles, how often you visited events, or the college you applied to. But that SAT really stands out negatively.

Let me know if you’ve got anymore concerns.

Best,

I actually think your low writing score doesnt really affect your chances at Lehigh; they do not look at the writing section. The 4 years of football and community service are good, but lehigh also considers your senior year courses and rank. Based on the info you’ve given, I’d say you have a good chance :)

my senior year classes include ap calc bc ap psych and advanced physics then the rest of my classes are easy classes I needed to graduate. my school doesn’t report the class rank

I agree your writing is extremely low. You should also include if you did any honors or AP as Lehigh(and most other colleges) consider rigor heavily.

Your sat looks good. Middle 50 percent for CR is 610-710 and math is 660-750. During our info session, they said they did not look at writing portion, it was not a good predictor of success
