I'm trying to transfer to Hunter College from a 2 year community college. I have 18 credits and 3.76 gpa. But because I have less than 30 credits they're going to look at my high school transcript and I wasn't a good student in high school my gpa was 1.7. So what are my chances here, be honest please.

I don’t know much about Hunter college personally but looking at their stats on [College Admissions - SAT - University & College Search Tool](http://www.collegeboard.com) I would think you need a lot more to prove your academics.

Transfer Students
Transfer admission stats for fall term:
Applied: 13,288
Admitted: 3,352
Enrolled: 1,741

I mean over 13,000 applied and only 3,352 admitted! It looks to be very competitive.

This is what you do -
-Stay in your community college and work on your GPA as well as getting enough credits.
-Do some volunteer work in your community
-Do anything that would separate you from the crowd of applicants.

Goodluck
