Misc.:
High demonstrated interest
Strong essays
Great recs
I usually do well in interviews

If your essays are creative and clearly separate you from the pack, I think you will have a good shot. The only thing a little lacking is your GPA, but I feel like your ECs and test scores are strong enough to compensate. (Although, I didn’t see SAT IIs.) I can’t stress how important creative essays are. Plenty of kids can score well on tests, be active in their school, and play sports. Not everyone can write honestly about experiences when they’ve been challenged and had to grow as an individual because of it. That’s what Georgetown looks for in a student. Write quality essays that make your admissions counselor WANT you to be a part of the Hilltop, and I say you’ll have a decent chance.

I was accepted to GU this year! I’m going to give you some tips.

 1. SATs are not the make or break. I’ve talked to people with close to 2400’s and some of them were rejected from the school; doing well on the SATs is really impressive, but you’re applying to a school where people are going to have good SATs anyways…it’s kinda expected.
 2. Apply early. If you get in; awesome! If you get deferred (GU will never reject anyone EA), write a letter to your university rep. for Georgetown reminding them how interested you are and what you’ve been up to EC wise. That will make you stand out from people who were deferred. GU wants people who are obsessed with their school.
 3. ESSAYS MATTER. GU is known for expecting their students to be good writers. If you can impress with your writing skills, the odds are good.
 4. Pick (a) realllly unique major(s). For example, I am Russian/pre-med. I am going to double major in Russian and biology. Even if you don’t want to necessarily study what you put down on your application, it doesn’t matter. You cna change majors when you get accepted.
 5. Keep in touch with your college representative. Since they will be the ones reading your application, it’s important that they remember your name.

You sound VERY impressive, however. So I don’t think you need to fret :). Good luck!

oh ps. Take 3 subject tests. That is HIGHLY recommended. Make sure you interview as well :).
