What are my chances?

Bump…

I believe to get an auto admit at A&M you need a SAT CR+M score above 1300. So, you will not get in automatically with your current SAT score. However, if you have 4s in AP Calculus, Chemistry and Physics etc you should make it in after holistic review. Although, if you do well on SAT in October your admission will be automatic!

ap scores aren’t part of the holistic review. In fact, they aren’t even considered in admissions

^How sure are you? I believe everything can be a part of the holistic review. There is a section in which you can tell a college anything that you think may help. In addition there is a section where you disclose if you are taking AP courses, dual credit, IB etc.

Thanks for the feedback

So devrybound what are my chances currently. Cause after finishing the official sat book I averaged a math 740 and a 670 on cr. Yes I knew my first scores were not good but I winged it just to see how the test was.

You already can get into those schools (if you mean what you say about your ECs). If you’re looking at higher ranked universities, then sure, retake the SAT.

Yea I don’t have a desire to go out of state not with the out of state tuition. I was wondering with the new scores I got which were old SAT tests what colleges could I apply to and have a good shot? Just curious if I ever decide to change my mind about out of state.

Oh I forgot and my writing was a 610

I’m don’t because im not a college admissions expert. But because all the things you listed in your resume are average to above average, you can expect to go to some pretty good average universities, but just not the top ones. If you bring your sat up to 2000+, you have a fair shot at engineering programs in UIUC, washington, and university of maryland collegepark

I know they would be a lot better if I hadn’t messed up senior year. However my junior year I took AP for physics, us history, english composition, and calculus. I ended up having high A’s in all the classes (95-100). Do you think that would increase the probability of being accepted.

Agh not senior year I mean freshman year
