What Are My Chances?

<p>Hi! I am a Maryland resident, and I would like to do a double major with Finance or Economics and History. </p>

<p>GPA: 3.2(uw) 3.8(w) (I know they stink, but they are upward trending)</p>

<p>SAT: 650 reading 650 writing 590 math</p>

<p>ACT: 28 compositie with reading</p>

<p>Penn State relies heavily on GPA. Your scores are slightly above “average”. They don’t take rec’s, theres only a personal statement, no essay. EC’s are of relatively little importance from what I can tell. You’re probably borderline since your GPA is low. If it was reversed with a higher GPA and lower scores it’d be better specifically at Penn State.</p>

<p>Well my stats are similar to yours, and all the college counselors I’ve talked to said that I’m right on the line for Penn State, which I’m assuming means in the average pool for the school. I’d apply and see of course :slight_smile: good luck!</p>
