Will be applying for financial aid.

You should try to bring up the SAT score to at least 2200 to be considered for Dartmouth and Columbia. Your score in the writing section is outstanding; unfortunately, no one cares. You have a decent chance at Rice and everything else are your safetys I assume?

Math and Verbal combined should at least be 1500, math is relatively easy to bring up just keep practicing. Since you received a 5 on the calc exam and are president of the math team at your school this really shouldn’t have been a problem for you but apparently it was.

Good luck though

Man that was a bit harsh. I know my CR+M score is low, but I didn’t think writing would be COMPLETELY overlooked. Any other chances?

Dartmouth and Columbia will probably want to see higher test scores. But you’re obviously very involved so if you milk the essays just right and retake the SAT you’ll probably be pretty high up on the list.

Uconn- target
Rutgers- target
St. Johns-target
Dartmouth- high reach
Drexel- target
University of the Pacific
Rice- reach
Stony Brook- target
and Columbia- high reach

Chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1417488-chance-cmu-jhu-nyu-umich-cwru.html</a></p>

Does target mean a match? I considered Uconn to be a safety for me. Didn’t think it was a match. And yeah, any suggestions for schools that will be matches? I am also most probably applying to UNC Chapel Hill.

Let’s not get too full of ourselves DJAnks; You should review SAT material so you can meet those Columbia and Dartmouth considerations.

I would recommend you sign up for the December SAT and omit the writing sections so you can fully devote your time to the Math and Reading sections.

I will not be paying the SATs another time. Is it really necessary for me to retake SATs now? Anyways, anyone more chances?

If you can bump up your SAT score to a 2200+ I think you’d have a decent shot at Dartmouth and Columbia. Your class rank, GPA, and EC’s are on target and I think you have a very good shot at everything except Columbia, Dartmouth and Rice. Bump your score up a little bit and those should go from slight reaches to high matches.

Chance me back please  http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1417354-chance-me-maybe.html</a></p>

Yeah i’d definitely consider retaking them. Again, just focus primarily on math and reading.
