Hi guys ,
I am currently a junior with mostly As in all my classes. Currently I am taking Ib and I am doing pretty well. As for projected SAt score , it is somewhere in the high 2200 s . But the problem is that I attended a school outside of US during my freshman year where the coursework was really rigorous and I ended up getting mostly B s. When these grades gets factored into my overall current school's GPA, my GPA ends up sucking badly. So will universities like University of Chicago and Georgia Tech actually consider the fact that I studied outside of US for one year or will they simply not care?

GA Tech will not be overly concerned over freshman grades, while U Chicago is another matter altogether. However, U Chicago asks you to pay attention to your essays.
