<p>Hi there! I was just looking for some feedback on places that you guys think i could/could not get into. I'm interested in politics, business, and journalism/</p>
<p>Schools I am looking at:
-Cornell
-Columbia
-University of Maryland
-GWU
-George Washington
-American
-University of Virginia
-UNC Chapel Hill
-UC Berkeley
-NYU
-Emory
-University of Texas </p>
<p>My background:</p>
<p>-Haven't officially taken the SAT yet but I've done practice one's and I've always scored between 1900-2200
-3.91 GPA on a 5.0 scale, not top 10% of high school
-made a 4 on the World History AP exam
-heavily involved in an organization called FBLA (future business leaders of america)
...I am a national officer, I've been a school chapter officer for 2 years, and I am also a district level officer
....I have been to the national level of competition
....I placed 3rd in my district for public speaking and advanced to state
....I placed 2nd in the state for an entrepreneurship competition
-in the environmental club for 3 years
-high school art for 4 years and will take AP studio next year
-Math Honor Society for 2 years
-National Honor Society Member
-Started a political club at my school, of which I am president
-Quiz Bowl club, for 3 years, officer for 2 years
-NAHS member, 3 years (national art honor society)
-volunteering at the library for the past 3 years, 2 hours a week
-volunteering at my local soup kitchen often
-attended NSLC political science session this past summer
-went to a highly selective 1 week business program this past summer
-volunteered for the Obama campaign
-I have taken 2 business classes at my school and made A's in them</p>
<p>I know my grades are not that good, and the schools i listed are difficult to get into. Can you please tell me what my chances are and what some good safety schools are for me?</p>
<p>Also, these are the classes I plan to take next year:
Debate, AP Government/Economics, AP Environmental Science, Business Law, AP Studio Art, Global Business, AP AB Calculus, and maybe AP Lit.</p>
