What are my chances?

<p>I am currently a junior in high school but Michigan State is my dream school. I am the daughter of two grads, and I live in Arkansas, so hopefully that should help me some.</p>

<p>W GPA: 3.96
UW GPA: 3.8</p>

<p>ACT: 28, Superscore 34 (Am trying for a 30 in April)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: </p>

<p>Amnesty International (1 year, just started this year)
Policy Debate Club (2 Years)
National Forensics League (3 Years)
Lacrosse (5 Years)</p>

<p>I think you will get into Michigan State with those state and GPA. As for other schools, here:

University of Kansas - Safety
Boston University - match
Illinois State - low match/safety
Ohio State - low match/safety</p>

<p>have you considered UMichigan? It’s one of the best public schools in the US, and might be a good fit for you I think</p>

<p>Wow, that’s really unusual that you have a 28 ACT but a 34 superscore. How does that happen?</p>

<p>I chanced you assuming none of these colleges superscored.</p>

<p>If BU or OSU superscore then they becomes safeties, and NWU becomes a high match.</p>

<p>My 28 composite is made of of very high reading and writing scores (34 and 33) and low scores for math and science (22 on each, I’m working on it!) I would consider UMich but unfortunately with my parents being MSU grads they aren’t a huge fan of the Wolverines. If I can get those two sections up a lot, than I will feel a lot better about Northwestern obviously. I don’t think any of these schools superscore unfortunately.</p>

<p>So how did you fall to a 22 on reading and writing and get a 34 and 33 in Math and science on your next sitting to obtain your 34 superscore? Unless you’re misunderstanding the meaning of a superscore.</p>

<p>Have you tried the SAT yet? You might do better on that.</p>
