Hey, everyone. I just wanted some advice on my chances in getting into: Pepperdine, LMU, UCSB, UCD, USF, and La Verne.

i have a weighted gpa of 3.4 and am expecting a final weighted gpa of a 3.5 with my APs and honors class from first semester of senior year. I know for UC's they take in your gpa of both sophomore and junior year, which gives me like a 3.7 UC overall gpa. My sophomore year I got A's and B's and my junior year I got straight A's for both semesters. 1st semester I got a 3.79 and second semester I got a 3.91. I have a SAT score of 1640, but I am taking classes to enhance my score and am expecting for a higher score on my retake. My freshman year is what brings my overall (not UC) gpa lower than what I have achieved my sophomore and junior year. With that in mind, I also attended an all girl catholic private high school. I have also already finished my personal statement and have given it to my english teacher for advice... she chose my paper among the top 3 of the class. With all of that, would reaching higher for Berkeley be a "maybe" option? It's just that it scares me how it's all on risks and chances when I see that my friend with a higher gpa and better application got rejected by the same college that accepted another friend with a lower gpa and average application. However, I'm going to hope for the best and not expect the worse and instead expect the best. I would greatly appreciate your advice, thank you (:
