What are my chances?

<p>I am in 11th grade and I think I am not sure if I have a chance to get into a university. Sophomore year, I had a 3.88 GPA. I was not here in the US when I was a freshman. </p>

<p>So the school started about two months ago and I currently have 5 Bs and 2 As but it's just half of the semester. I am not really confident on getting a straight A this year. </p>

<p>I am not taking any AP classes - I only have one honors class which is Physics and I am getting a B in that class. I also just currently transitioned from an English and history class for non-native English speakers to mainstream classes. It's really hard to keep up on those classes especially when I don't understand what they're trying to say.</p>

<p>As for extracurricular activities, I volunteer in a Blood Center every week and I have no sports and other activities beyond that. </p>

<p>As for the SATs and ACT scores, I have not taken any of it yet but I'm planning to take it on Spring. The thing is, I am worried that I might not get a good SAT and ACT score because I am studying on my own. I'm not enrolled in a prep class because it's too expensive. </p>

<p>Even though I know that I am not a good pick for colleges, I really want to go to a university. So, what are my chances?</p>

<p>Keep a positive attitude and work hard. Try to get straight As. Unlike me, try to forget the past and move on! People do make mistakes. You still have a chance to get your grades back! Do so and try and do something (ECs) which you love. If you dont like doing so, start studying… Enjoy and do not pressurize yourself too much! :slight_smile:
