<p>Hello, My freshman and sophomore years I kept my GPA over a 3.0. Now that I just finished my junior year, my GPA was only a 2.8. This was mainly because I took multiple AP classes. Will this hurt my chances of getting in to Spelman? Should I apply early decision?</p>

<p>I didn’t take the SAT. I’ve took the ACT twice and my highest score was a 24. </p>
<p>The combination of GPA and ACT is too low. You can apply but it’s a reach and it’s unlikely you’ll get much financial aid (except the federal loans and Parent PLUS loans for your parents :s)</p>
@MYOS1634 is right. I don’t think Spelman is particularly difficult to get into, but without a 3.2+ and a 26+ ACT it starts looking unlikely. You also have to make sure that you have great extracurricular activities.
