<p>I'm applying to Duke, Brown, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Georgetown, McGill, and Marquette. Marquette is my safety.</p>

-34 ACT and 9 essay
-790, 670, and 640 respectively on Spanish, World, Math II SAT IIs (retaking Math)
-5's on AP Spanish Lang, Spanish Lit, Calc AB, World, Lit
-Senior Classes: AP Calc BC, AP Psych, AP HuG, AP Chem, Senior Lang, Band, Teacher's Assistant in AP Spanish
-Ran out of Spanish classes at school, independent study of AP Spanish Lit
-Honors student</p>

<p>EXTRACURRICULARS
-4 year swim team member, captain senior year
-4 year math team member (not very good, but I'm a member)
-3 year debate team member
-NHS member, president senior year
-Tri-M (musical honor society) member, historian junior and president senior year
-4 year Spanish club member
-4 year Wind Ensemble (highest of 3 bands) member; 4 years of jazz band, 3 years of pit orchestra and chamber winds, 4 years of pep and marching bands; 3 years of Conference Honor Band, member of 9/10 honor band, All-State substitute member
-I have a business Spanish tutoring in my community to high school students.</p>

-2 summers at acclaimed Spanish immersion camp (Concordia Language villages) to earn credits
-Just finished a 2-week program at Brown in Leadership and Global Health where I attended classes and leadership training to create a service action plan (online music workshops) which I will enact with Tri-M and band this year.</p>

<p>Since you didn’t mention financial aid I’m assuming your family is able and willing to pay full price for four years at any of these schools. You have excellent credentials–good scores and the kind of directed passion schools like to see. But your GPA seems low for the schools you list. Do you have a class rank? With the exception of Marquette and McGill every school on your list is extremely competitive to get into, even for strong candidates. I think they all have to be considered reaches because of that. You need some clearer matches.</p>
