I’m an international student. My GPA in my home country is about 3.2 (9th and 10th grade)
my last 2 years of high school I study in the US with GPA 4.0 (weighted)
My ACT (first time) is 23 composite.
What are my chances of getting into University of Florida or Florida International University ?

Here is a link to the Florida State University System (SUS) admissions matrix:

http://www.flbog.edu/about/_doc/cod/asa/admission_2014/Final_Matrix.pdf

The above link shows the admission requirements to all 12 state universities, including UF and FIU. Lots of good info here, including the mid range for GPA and SAT/ACT test scores at each school.

UF uses holistic admissions, so they look at a lot of factors, including GPA. However, GPA is very important at UF, and the middle 50% score between a 4.1 and a 4.4 (weighted) GPA. Based on GPA alone, UF would be a reach.

FIU puts much more focus on GPA, class rigor and test scores, and much less on EC’s and such, vs. UF. The middle range for summer is 3.1 to 3.8 (weighted) while it’s 3.7 to 4.3 in the fall (it’s easier to be accepted applying for the summer term than the fall). Based on GPA, FIU looks like a match. See below for details.

FIU automatic admissions criteria for the 2015-2016 academic year is:

Good Luck!
