I am applying to Harvard, Yale, UPenn, Brown, Columbia, Duke, Georgetown, Stanford, Cornell, Vanderbilt, WashU, and safeties. I was deferred from Stanford EA.

Evaluate me pls before I have an aneurysm from all this college poop, though I will probably have one in three months.

You’re such a strong applicant. It really kills me every time I see your ethnicity and makes me sick of being at a disadvantage for something you were born as and can’t change. Your stats are similar to many other high achieving Asians and will be a hurdle for you to overcome. But I am rooting for you!!!

Harvard: Rejected
Yale: Wait listed
UPenn: Accepted
Brown: Accepted
Columbia: Rejected
Duke: Accepted
Georgetown: Accepted
Stanford: Rejected
Cornell: Accepted
Vanderbilt: Accepted
WashU: Accepted

You can do it.

I generally agree with Homeless2Harvard. I’m sure you’ll get into a fair number of those schools, though I’m always worried when I see applicants applying to most/all of the Ivy’s. I can’t imagine someone being happy at both Brown and Columbia…

Nonetheless, as long as your supplements are gone, I would at least expect you to get into Cornell, Gtown, Duke, Vanderbilt, and Wash. Everything else is up in the air.
