My stats are screwed up because of home-life issues, but I hope it wont bring me down
-fresh & soph gpa: 3.4
-PSAT score converted into a possible SAT score: 1840/2400
-Varsity Lacrosse
-I have two jobs (amusement park/Chinese restaurant)
-Internship at an accountant’s office
-Internship at lawyer’s office
-Completed 120+ hours so far
-Book club
-Forensic Club
-Feminist Club
-Literary Art/Photography club
-I’m part of the youth squad for my local ambulance squad.
The ECs and jobs/internships are good, but your GPA might be a little low. You should explain yourself about your issues at home in your application to help admission officers know what you were going through. Try to get your SAT score higher than your predicted one as well. I know NYU’s average SAT for incoming freshmen is around 2000.
Thank you very much for replying. I understand my gpa is low, I’m on my way to raising it. That sat score is from my freshman PSAT, and I believe my soph was higher (I can’t remember the exact numbers).
Which schools do I have a realistic chance of getting into so far?
