The schools that i would love to attend are: New York University, Boston College, Boston University, City College of NYC, Rutgers University and the schools that are awfully far reaching but are my dream schools are Columbia, UPenn and Harvard. My safety school has automatic admission and I know I’ll meet the requirements so I’m not worried at all about that.
I’m currently a junior in HS, I messed up badly my freshman year so i have a 3.5 GPA but hope to get that up to a high 3 point or 4.0 by the end of my senior year. I took an AP class my sophomore year, am currently taking 5 AP classes this year and will take 5-6 my senior year. I’m really working to increase my GPA as much as i can. I’ll be graduating with Technology honors and highest honors. Hopefully if i end HS with a 4.0, ill be able to be a valedictorian. I’m founding a political club at my school (Young Democrats) and will be the president of it and am actively a member of the national organization. Most of my volunteer hours come from this organization since we volunteer with political campaigns. I’m planning to run and be elected as a state official such as VP of the state’s organization sometime in the upcoming year.During the summer, i take up a fellowship at the capitol for the democratic party and work for that. I’m also involved in Future Business Leaders of America(2 years), Junior Class Council (planning to continue onto senior class council next year and be elected as president), I am planning on attending Girls State this year(the national political program), French Honors Society(3 years of foreign language), I regularly volunteer at the food pantry at my church, I will have ran cross country and track 3 out of 4 of my years in HS, and am a current member of the CyberPatriot(will be involved next year too) national club/organization for cyber security, and finally, i am in an IT club(3 out of 4 years) at my school(will have taken 6 IT classes at my school by the time i graduate). I am hoping to do something impressive and semi-significant this summer to talk about on my admissions app. I plan to drill for the ACT and take it many times to get at least a 34 or 35 on it… I’m not sure if it helps at all but i am a Hispanic female and will be a first generation college student; I’m still undecided on my major but its between biology and computer science. I’m trying to mainly focus on politics and computer science so that i look well structured and focused but i know i have stuff thats all over the place.
I KNOW MY INFORMATION IS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND SO DISORGANIZED; IM SO SORRY. IF YOU STUCK THROUGH IT ALL, THANK YOU SO MUCH AND A RESPONSE WOULD BE SO APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.
