Hello. College applications are due in less than 2 weeks and I am very scared that I won’t get accepted to UC Davis. My GPA (10-12) is 4.36 and I am third in my class. I have been on my school’s varsity cross country and track team all four years. I am the president of Mu Alpha Theta and Cross Country Club. I was also Freshman Class Secretary and I have work experience through Pacific Gas & Electric Company as well as a Algebra math tutor. However, my SAT score is 1590 and my ACT score is 20. What are my chances of getting accepted to UC Davis?
UC Davis would be a Low Reach. Your GPA is outstanding but your ACT/SAT scores are very low in comparison. This mismatch screams grade inflation. How many AP courses did you take and what were their scores? Do you plan to retake the SAT and/or ACT in December? Depending upon your major you need around a 1900+/28+ for a solid chance.
Make sure you have some solid Match and Safety schools on your list.
